Walnut Acres At A Glance

Lucille BallWe are a small family kennel in rural Missouri.  We raise the rare Olde English Bulldogge.  Our dogges are raised around family and are socialized with the Roberts Family that includes two small girls.  Our dogges have a very friendly disposition about them and are full of love.  Are bulldogges are healthy and come from well known bloodlines. You will find that most of the dogges in our kennel are of of King's River Olde Bulldogges blood lines. As such you will find that those dogges we have acquired from King's River are decendants of dogges produced by Willie Sullivan at Sullivan Kennels. We believe that both of these kennels produce some of the finest Olde English Bulldogges in the the world. We too selectively breed our dogges in an effort to produce the finest quality dogges that have great temperments, overall disposition, and conformation according to the IOEBA standards. We may only produce a litter or two per year as we will not compromise professionalism and ethics and simply produce puppies just to produce puppies. We strive to produce the best dogge that will make a lifelong companion that is very loving and loyal. We proudly register our dogges and our kennel with the International Olde English Bulldogge Association.  We adhere to the IOEBA's Breeder Code of Ethics. None of our dogges are used or sold for illegal activity. Blue Velvet

The Olde English Bulldogge, is not the same breed as the common AKC English Bulldog.  So what is an Olde English Bulldogge? Unlike the English Bulldog, Olde English Bulldogges are healthy, althletic, free breeding and free whelping.   When compared to their less active cousins (the common English Bulldog). The modern Olde English Bulldogge is a reconstruction of the original Olde Bulldogge of the 17th and 18th century.  Various genetic crosses have been used in carefully and thoughtfully planned breeding programs to obtain this goal.  The foundation of most of today's Olde English Bulldogges can be traced to the English Bulldog, American Bulldog and Mastiff.  These dogs were used very selectively in various combinations to obtain the desired physical and mental traits of the original Olde English Bulldogge.  Our goal at Walnut Acres Olde Bulldogges is to produce genetically healthier Bulldogges that are free breathers, free breeders and free whelpers.  The result has been good looking Bulldogges of great athletic ability that are much healthier and physically fit without most or all of the problems that plague today's modern English Bulldogs.KRB Jody of Walnut Acres

The Olde English Bulldogge does not suffer from  most of the same health issues that plague the modern English bulldog.  The negative characteristics of most modern bulldogs have been bred out, and the Olde English Bulldogge is similar to the healthier and leaner bulldogs of centuries past. Your kids can hike with, jog with, swim with, and play with an Olde English Bulldogge. Owners of this rare breed all agree that they make an outstanding family dog. They are excellent with children and have a longer lifespan than typical bulldogs.  Known for their friendly disposition, protectiveness and playfulness, the Olde English Bulldogge is an excellent family dog and a loyal guard dog. Doc_6_08We find that our dogges have their own unique personalities. They are very fun loving and have a very trainable spirit about them. Their personalities and disposition are special. Customers from accross the country often tell us that they receive lots of positive comments about their dogges from other people. Their courageous, yet  gentle, disposition combined with their intelligence makes the Olde English Bulldogge an ideal family companion.  For more information on the Olde English Bulldogge, please visit this HISTORY link.    If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
